This cookbook was spearheaded by Chef Charlie Trotter and pays tribute to Chef Patrick Clark and his legacy of Black excellence in the culinary world. It's a really special book for me because both of these men mentored me as I was coming up as a young chef. Much like with Cooking with Patrick Clark: A Tribute to the Man and His Cuisine, I'm a big believer in honoring those who came before us and paved the way, which is why I did The Rise. I highly recommend both for your cookbook collection. #t
